7 EPL MOST EFFECTIVE AND DEADLY STRIKERS

Their is no doubt about who is Epl's top goal scorer till date. Every other week you are assured of seeing Luis Suarez name on the scoresheet, except that week they are playing the big guns(Suarez is yet to score against the top 3 teams in the Epl)

He is the division top scorer but is he also the most effective and deadliest of the lot?

Looking at the goalscorers list will not readily provide this answer. A striker conversion rate from the number of shots he takes per game is the clearest indication of his effectiveness and deadliness in front of goal.

So who are the premiership's most effective and deadly strikers?(We considered only strikers who have scored 9+ goals this season)

7. Rooney, Man. United.
Conversion rate: 17.5

He is one reason why United season have not totally crumble, scoring crucial goals and laying on crucial assists for others. A conversion rate of 17.5 and a goal+assist game ratio of 1.1 per game highlights the importance of Rooney to United if they must finish in the top four this season.

6. Loic Remy, Newcastle
Conversion Rate: 18.1%

The loan and lone signing for Newcastle have proved a massive signing for the magpies scoring 10 times this season and assisting 2. Keeping up his goal rate 0.56 goals per game coming from 3.1 shot per game will be crucial to Newcastle's finishing in European places.

5. Romelo Lukaku, Everton
Conversion rate: 18.1%

Same conversion rate as Remy though he has scored one goal less than Remy, but then he has also play fewer games than him. However Lukaku assists of 4 is a much better return than that of Remy(2), and so he nicks the 6th spot. He knows how to score as well as how to provide for his teammates. With no Chelsea striker making this list one just wonder why Mourinho didn't give him a chance in the first place.

4. Negredo, Man.City
Conversion rate: 22.2%

Unlike his spanish counterpart in Tottenham struggling for form and goals, Negredo has formed a deadly partnership Aguero and when the Argentine got injured it was he who has stepped up to provide lot of goals. With 9 goals coming from 15 games and just 2.7 shots per game, his lethal finishing and partnership with Aguero can only mean more goals for City and more woes for the oppositions!

3. Sergio Aguero, City.
Conversion rate: 22.7%

Before his injury Aguero was the leader of City's assasin scoring squad which also features Negredo and Toure. Despite missing many matches due to injury he still manage to remain second on the top scorers list with 13goals. And with a conversion rate of 22.7% one can only imagine what more havoc he will unleash on opposition defences now that he is back from injury.

2. Luis Suarez, Liverpool
Conversion rate: 23.8%

Epl's top scorer and second most deadliest striker. He probably could be the division's deadliest by the end of the season because the other one at the top have played lesser games and may not be as sharp he play many games. But Suarez has been. Scoring goals with reckless abandon and from every imaginable positions and situations. He is also Europe's top scorer leading Ronaldo and Costa. If he maintains his present scoring rate of 1.4 goals per game, Liverpool are sure bet to finish in the top four.

1. Sturridge, Liverpool
Conversion rate: 27.6%

Suprised that Sturridge is here? Don't be! Before injury came calling Sturridge have scored in almost every match he has played and from fewer shots taken. He has a goal per game ratio of almost 1 coming from just 3.3 shots per game! And he seems to have continued from where he stopped. Good news for Liverpool!
